Working as a development worker
Are you interested in working abroad and combining your skills with socially relevant work? What you need most of all is a firm commitment to and a passion for working together with others in a spirit of partnership. The following is also important:
- Professional qualification (a university degree is usually required)
- At least two years’ professional experience in which you were able to apply your specialist knowledge
- Experience working abroad, especially outside Europe, is an advantage
- In most cases, we can only recruit EU or Swiss citizens
- Interest in other cultures
- Very good written and spoken language skills relevant to the host country
- Identification with the aims and values of church development cooperation
