Your work with Agiamondo and CINOPR

Responsible and challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It works for a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Burundi, AGIAMONDO aims to contribute to civil conflict transformation there and to the sustainable equitable development of the country through peacebuilding measures.

The Centre Interculturel National Oasis de Paix et Réconciliation (CINOPR) is an organ of the Bishops' Conference of Burundi based in Bujumbura. CINOPR supports processes of reconciliation, dealing with violent pasts, trauma work, resilience, peaceful conflict transformation and non-violent communication within and between societies. The goal is to promote peaceful coexistence and social cohesion among Burundians* and the communities of the three countries in the Great Lakes region. Focusing on the needs of the victims of the various conflicts that have taken place in the country and in the region, it addresses issues such as truth, memory, justice, resilience and inclusive reconciliation processes.
