AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (ZFD) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It works for a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Colombia, AGIAMONDO aims to contribute to civil conflict transformation there and to the sustainable just development of the country through peacebuilding measures.

Your new role
The national network "Red Nacional en Democracia y Paz (RNDP)" is an association of about 90 smaller grassroots organizations working all over the country. The member organizations are organized into six regional nodes and work in areas such as peacebuilding, human rights, political participation and democracy, and environmental conflicts. The RNDP promotes exchange among member organizations and is also intended to strengthen the organizations' political advocacy.
A ZFD professional is expected to enhance the processes, structures, agendas, and working approaches of the RNDP through their external and complementary perspective. In addition, the network will be strengthened in advocacy work through the design and implementation of trainings ("escuela politica") on this topic.
With the new government under President Gustavo Petro, a "window of opportunity" is currently emerging for peace and democracy promotion in Colombia, enabling civil society organizations to become more involved in helping to shape political processes and social reforms. This is part of the work of the RNDP.
