AGIAMONDO Co-worker about their daily work and life in Uganda

Your work with AGIAMONDO and Ba Futuru

Responsible and challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V.is the personnel service of the German Catholics for Development Cooperation. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) offers development workers a meaningful role working with local development agents. The CPS is a personnel programme for peace-building and the prevention of violence in crisis and conflict regions. It sets out to promote a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Working with church-related and civil-social partner organisations in Timor-Leste, AGIAMONDO aims to make a contribution towards civil conflict management and the sustainable and equitable development of the country through peace-building measures.

Ba Futuru (‘For the Future’) is a dynamic and established NGO based in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste. For more than 20 years, the organisation has been active in the areas of peace education, child protection, youth work and gender equality. The programmes are in great demand throughout the country - but there is often little room for structured reflection in the busy daily routine.

Dili offers a good supply situation, international schools, private clinics and a wide range of leisure activities - from beaches and diving spots to hikes in the countryside. The security situation is good and Dili is considered a family-friendly location. There are regular flight connections to Indonesia, Australia and Singapore.
