Your work with AGIAMONDO and CALDH

Responsible and Challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It works for a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Guatemala, AGIAMONDO aims to contribute to civil conflict transformation there and to the sustainable equitable development of the country through peacebuilding measures.

CALDH is a major NGO dedicated to strategic litigation, empowerment and addressing the violent past in Central America. The aim is to give young people a critical perspective and encourage them to face up to the challenges of the present. An essential part of the work involves dealing with racism, colonial heritage and the oppression of women.

The House of Remembrance in Guatemala City serves as the heart of the organization. It not only functions as an exhibition space, but is increasingly developing into a cultural center for various target groups. The house is an important reference in the field of remembrance work in Guatemala and offers young people and young adults opportunities for active participation.
